Release Notes

Updates to the IceBreaker dashboard and mobile app.

  1. v0.52July 2026
    Mobile App

    New

    • Direct messages now group by day with Today / Yesterday / date separators, and the newest message sits at the bottom like every messenger.
    • Contact details (including phone) are cached — a connection's profile and its Call / Message buttons load instantly instead of appearing blank on first open.

    Improved

    • Home Connections are sorted by your most recent chats, with favorites pinned to the top.
    • Chat composer polish — the send button and message box now line up, and each conversation's timestamp moved to the end of the row.
    • Events open faster, without the brief flash while the event's settings load.
    • Meeting Requests screens rebuilt for smoother, more reliable loading.
    • Organizers who also represent a brand now see their exhibitor Meeting Requests.

    Fixed

    • "Request a 1-on-1" is now clearly disabled on events that have ended, instead of failing when tapped.
    Dashboard

    Fixed

    • Registering for an event while already signed in to the dashboard no longer bounces you back to the login page.
    • Invite-link guests who sign up first no longer lose their invitation — the link now survives the sign-up step, so they can still register.
    • The Release Notes page now uses the standard site header and footer.

    New

    • Happening Now — the running event's live session surfaces on your home screen; tap to jump straight into it.
    • My Meeting Requests (More → Networking) — see every 1-on-1 you've sent to a brand, with its status.
    • Brand downloadables — vendors can share documents, now shown in a Downloads block on the brand sheet.

    Improved

    • Meeting notifications route to the right place — buyers land on My Requests, reps on the brand inbox, with the event auto-selected.
    • Bottom sheets now sit above the glass navigation bar instead of behind it.
    • The daily word game is now WordBreaker throughout the app.

    Fixed

    • Event switching while previewing an event as a guest.
    • Location check-in Scan now opens the event scanner instead of the global one.
    • Onboarding profile and a couple of kiosk-activation glitches.

    • WildFire event mode — a game-show experience with prediction pick'em and guest preview.
    • Games & Points — daily games and a points system across events.
    • Standalone brand Activities with kiosk lead capture.
    • Billboard — full-screen sponsored promos with once/daily frequency.
    • Ticket QR passes for registration-only events.
    • Event tiers and registration modes, with shareable slug register links.
    • Networking is now its own item on the Account screen.

    Improved

    • Home is now its own screen with edge-to-edge content rails and cleaner routing into each event.
    • Instant cold start — check-ins, loot bag, and the agenda are cached locally so they appear immediately, before the network responds.
    • Pro prompt for public-connection chat, and event-info location taps through to Maps.

    Fixed

    • Sign-in stability — no more force-logout on app resume for transient sessions; added resend-code on the login screen.
    • Home and chat refresh reliability, and event-discovery glitches.

    New

    • Public Profile toggle — choose whether your connect profile is visible to others at events.
    • Shareable link on your profile screen — tap to copy your personal icebreaker.events connection link.
    • Profile photo now appears in the direct message header so you always know who you're talking to.
    • Account tab now uses a person icon for clearer navigation.

    Improved

    • Refreshed typography throughout the app — headings use the new Delight display font for a more polished look.
    • Empty states on the Chats, Sessions, Map, Notifications, and Discover screens are now correctly centered above the navigation bar.
    • Session titles in list and home cards are more compact, making it easier to scan the agenda at a glance.
    • Boxhive staff profiles are always visible — the toggle is locked and read-only for team members.

    Fixed

    • Sign-in buttons are now disabled while waiting for web authentication, preventing accidental double-taps.
    Dashboard

    New

    • Company pages now combine viewing and editing in one place — no more switching between separate view and edit screens.

    Improved

    • Event editor is now an inline page instead of a pop-up, giving more room to work.
    • OTP verification boxes resize correctly on small mobile screens.
    • Sign-in, sign-up, and registration pages have clearer copy and updated titles.
    • Admin tables for users, admins, app settings, and event activations have been refreshed.

    • Rate sessions from the agenda or session details screen.
    • Voting screen redesigned, with separate experiences for polls and elections and live-updating tallies.
    • Map directory now centers on your event and includes an early floor plan view.

    Improved

    • Voting and connection actions are more reliable on poor connections, and duplicate submissions are prevented.
    • Home screen now leads with the actions available right now.
    • Voucher conflicts show a clear message instead of an unrelated session error.
    • Scanner box stays centered, and overlays only appear once the camera is ready.

    • Type breakdown chips on the Organizers & VIPs page (Organizer, Staff, VIP, Speaker, Contestant, Candidate) with per-type counts.
    • Active-search banner on user tables, with a one-click clear.
    • Public release notes page, linked from the landing footer.
    • Redesigned landing page with an interactive product mockup and a live status indicator.
    • Expanded demo-request form with stronger validation.
    • Voting tools: close/reopen guards, auto-complete tracking, and deep-link announcements.
    • Digital Loot Bag now supports a dedicated thumbnail upload with auto-fill from the source image.

    Improved

    • Compact UI mode is now the default across the portal.
    • Voucher conflicts on the QR scanner show as warnings rather than errors.
    • Forms warn when a date extends past the event end.
    • Demo-request page no longer requires sign-in.
    • Expired sessions sign out automatically.

    Fixed

    • Staff, contestants, and candidates were missing from the Organizers list.
    • Landing page was inheriting the dashboard dark theme.
